DE MILLS, Sydney
Sidney de Mills was a fifty year old fish trapper who lived by himself in Frog Hollow. He was killed in a strafing run by Japanese fighter pilots during the Darwin raid. When de Mills’ body was found it had two bullet wounds. He was buried at Kahlin Beach two days after the attack, then re-buried on 30 June 1942 at the War Cemetery.
